Delegation of ECCB in Saxony Lutheran Church

3. března 2011

On Sunday 20 February 2011, a delegation of the Evangelical Church (ECCB), headed by synodal senior of the ECCB Joel Ruml, visited the Lutheran Church in Saxony. The delegation arrived in Dresden at the invitation of the Bishop of this Church Jochen Bohl, who took office in 2004 and visited the Evangelical Church in September last year. This meeting reflects the importance of neighborhood and partnership between these two churches in Europe. Joel Ruml preached at Sunday worship in the Dresden church Frauenkirche. There was an expression of the Christians´ mandate to bear the light of God in the world in his sermon on the text from the biblical book of Daniel (Daniel 9, 18). The worship liturgy was prepared and led by the pastor of Frauenkirche Sebastian Feydt and by the principal of the Lutheran Church council Friedemann Oehme, who is in charge of ecumenical relations in the Saxon Lutheran Church. After the worship services, members of the delegation from the ECCB: Joel Ruml, Lydia Ruml and Gerhard Frey-Reininghaus, were welcomed by the principal of the Saxon Lutheran Church Christoph Münchow.
